The Roosters are over again
The Roosters can really move the ball, can’t they?
A sequence of passes ended up with Mark Nawaqanitawase being pushed out but he flicked it back into play just in time.
Then the ball went back to the middle of the field before Connor Watson stepped around the defence and went over.
“There aren’t many teams in the competition that score tries like that,” Phil Gould said on Nine.
Roosters lead 24-10.
Worth noting too, Rob Toia went down with what looked like a rib injury earlier but is playing on.
Bit more detail on Hiroti
News Corp is reporting that Sharks were protesting towards NRL officials about the advertising signs and how Mawene Hiroti had slammed into them.
Nothing can be done about that though, they’re at a safe distance. It was just a case of bad luck.
The incident has seemingly ruled him out of the match.

The Roosters lead 18-10 at the break.
“I think Craig Fitzgibbon will be pleased with that effort, given what they’ve gone through,” Cameron Smith said on Nine.
Roosters hooker Reece Robson said his side are doing more defence than they should be.
“We need to stop giving away penalties and six agains,” he told Nine’s Allana Ferguson.
A massive moment for the Sharks
Niwhai Puru has come up with a shocker.
On the second tackle, 20 metres in their own territory, Puru just had a simple pickup from dummy half but fumbled it in a sign of fatigue.
“In the context of this game, that could be a monumental error,” Phil Gould said on Nine.
“A little bit of fatigue, lack of concentration.”

Roosters get momentum back
Multiple six again sets have hurt the Sharks and now the Roosters are back scoring points.
Daly Cherry-Evans is the man who’s gone over, he dummied to his right before sliding past Will Kennedy and Cameron McInnes to reach out and score.
Sharks go back-to-back
Oh boy, the Sharks are in again.
Blayke Brailey made a dart from dummy half before Siosifa Talakai broke the line.
Talakai was taken down 20 metres out before Braydon Trindall hit Ronaldo Mulitalo with a short ball and the winger went over.
“Don’t doubt the physical drain the Roosters will have from the Panthers. They’ve started on fire but the Sharks have hung in there,” Phil Gould said on Nine.

Cameron Smith called for the Sharks to straighten their attack and that’s what they did before spreading it wide to the right.
Sione Katoa was the man scoring in the corner as assistant coach Daniel Holdsworth slammed the table in celebration.
