Sophie is currently a full-time sports reporter for Nine.com.au’s Wide World of Sports vertical, where she is most at home covering motorsport and human interest stories. She also has a special interest in winter sports and loves anything that’s a little bit off the general sports radar. Her career path within Nine began in early 2025 as an intern for WWOS, before her dedication saw her transition into a permanent, full-time role in 2026.
Sophie's professional journalism journey officially began in 2021 at Speedcafe.com before she further diversified her editorial skills through an internship with GQ Australia and joined the WWOS team. In the meantime, she broadened her sports communications experience by working as a PR Coordinator for the seventh AWMM, the TCS Sydney Marathon.
Beyond her daily reporting duties, Sophie is passionate about fostering future talent, serving as a regular mentor for the FIA Girls on Track program. Additionally, she expanded her international reporting experience in 2025 when she was selected as one of only ten global Young Reporters to cover the FISU World University Games in Germany.
Education
Sophie completed a Bachelor of Media and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2024, where she graduated with a specialised Bachelor of Media in the fields of Communication and Journalism and Bachelor of Arts focused on English and Indigenous Studies. She also took a university exchange semester during her final year in Montreal, Canada at Concordia University.

In 2023, she was the recipient of the prestigious Girls on Track High Achiever Award, awarded by Motorsport Australia in acknowledgement of her exceptional performance and potential within the motorsport industry.
