Just like when Roger Tuivasa-Sheck won the Dally M, Jahrome Hughes has been honoured with a haka after his Dally M win.

Will Warbrick, Joseph Tapine and Eli Katoa came to the stage to perform it.

"A powerful mark of respect," presenter Yvonne Sampson said on Fox League.

He needed six points from the final match to defeat James Tedesco.

And his starring role against the Broncos delivered those points.

He finished on 62 and Tedesco had 61.

"It's quite surreal, I didn't think I'd ever get the opportunity to win this award," he said.

"I've got butterflies at the moment, it's kind of weird."

Olivia Kernick!

She finishes on 22 points, two points ahead of Abbi Church and Lauren Brown.

"I definitely didn't expect that this year, I'm sort of caught off guard," she said.

"... I'm so grateful."

Kernick went on to give special praise to her coach John Strange for developing her into a player capable of winning the Dally M medal.
