Hawks crush Eagles to make AFL history

Hawthorn have confirmed their reputation as one of the greatest teams ever with a third straight AFL premiership after a crushing grand final victory over West Coast.
Cyril Rioli starred for Hawthorn as the Hawks completely outplayed the wasteful Eagles in record heat, with the mercury hitting 30.8 degrees in the second quarter.
The 107.61 victory meant Hawthorn became just the fourth team in VFL/AFL history to win three consecutive grand finals.
The final siren sparked jubilant scenes for the brown and gold.

For the third time, Alastair Clarkson and Luke Hodge lifted the cup.

He had 18 touches including 12 marks and kicked two goals.
He also led the way for the Hawks with his defensive pressure.
Mitchell was another star for the Hawks with a game-high 34 touches.
