'Would never have believed it': Australia's Kate Sayer leaves mark on gymnastics world with skill named in her honour
Australian gymnast Kate Sayer has left her mark on the gymnastics world as she is awarded with the sport's highest distinction.
The International Federation of Gymnastics revealed Sayer has a skill named in her honour on the uneven bars.
The skill, officially known as 'The Sayer', has been added to the women's artistic code of points by the sport's governing body.

The 21-year-old unveiled her skill at competition level in 2021 and has continued to perform the action to this day.
The skill relates to a transition on the uneven bars, which Sayer moves from a handstand position into a pike before rolling under the bar to find the low bar.
The Queenslander is one of six Australia women to be given the honour.
"I think it's amazing to have a gymnastics skill named after me," Sayer said in a statement.
"Gymnastics is a sport that allows for flexibility in how things are done, and it's an incredible feeling to be able to contribute something new.
"If you'd told me when I started gymnastics 17 years ago that I'd have this honour, I would never have believed it."

Sayer dedicated her achievement to the support of her coaches.
"A lot of hard work went into perfecting this skill, and I'm thankful to my coaches, for their support and encouragement throughout the process.
"Without them, this would not have been possible."
