Ange's latest disaster 'insulting' to Spurs fans as calamitous own goal sums up abject defeat

Friday's (AEST) Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt looms as Ange Postecoglou's last chance to save his job after Spurs crashed to an embarrassing 4-2 Premier League loss to lowly Wolves.
It was Tottenham's 17th league defeat of the season with Australian manager Postecoglou now at risk of making unwanted history.
Spurs suffered 19 league losses in the 1993-94 and 2003-04 seasons and there are still six games to play in this campaign.

Tottenham sit 15th of 20 teams on the ladder.
Their plight was summed up when goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario punched the ball off Djed Spence for a calamitous own goal.
"Yes, the Europa League is the priority for Spurs but the manner in which Postecoglou's side coasted to another abject defeat in the league was insulting to supporters - hundreds of whom had made the long trip to Molineux," Dan Kilpatrick wrote in the Evening Standard.

"Spurs played like a side who had earned the right to be on the beach rather than a team which, mathematically, could still be relegated from the top flight."
Rayan Ait-Nouri, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Matheus Cunha also scored for 16th placed Wolves while Mathys Tel and Richarlison were on target for Spurs.
"Funny game because for the most part it was decent, considering the changes we made," Postecoglou said.
"I thought we controlled large parts and were a bit of a threat going forward, but then we've conceded some poor goals.
"We made some individual errors, which is unusual for us, but they all happened in one game. It's not like they are doing it on purpose."
Spurs travel to Frankfurt for the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final following a 1-1 draw in the first clash in London.
Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk scored a late winner against West Ham on Monday (AEST) to move Liverpool within six points of the Premier League title.
A 2-1 victory at Anfield means Arne Slot's team needs to win just two more games to be certain of a record equalling 20th league title and draw level with Manchester United's total.
"A big relief," was how the Liverpool manager described Van Dijk's 89th minute header.
"We saved a big set piece for a very important moment."
Liverpool had looked like dropping points when Andrew Robinson scored an own goal in the 86th minute to level the game at 1-1 after Luis Diaz's first half opener.
But captain Van Dijk rose to head home and ensure victory after second placed Arsenal slipped up by drawing 1-1 with Brentford.

The Merseyside club is 13 points clear at the top of the standings.
Victory completed a week of celebrations for Liverpool supporters after top scorer Mohamed Salah ended uncertainty over his future by signing a new two year contract.
He marked that new deal in style by maintaining his outstanding form this season to cross for Diaz's opener in the 18th minute.
It was Salah's 45th goal or assist in the league this season, which set a new record for a 38 game Premier League campaign.
