Usman Khawaja and Queensland cricket boss set for meeting after furore in lead up to Sheffield Shield final
Usman Khawaja is set to have a peace meeting with Queensland's head of elite cricket, Joe Dawes, after a feud erupted in the lead up to the Sheffield Shield final.
Queensland Cricket's chief executive officer, Terry Svenson, revealed the plans to media on Monday following the side's loss to South Australia.
Dawes controversially said Khawaja had "no hamstring issues" after the Australian opener missed out on the final round match.

The Queensland boss added he was "disappointed" and claimed Khawaja "had an opportunity" to play after he instead flew to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
Khawaja then hit back in a press conference, describing the claims as "categorically untrue" and "100 per cent wrong". He explained that Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket medical staff were aware of his hamstring issue.

The 38-year-old also said he wasn't expecting an apology from Dawes.
Svenson expressed his disappointment at how the situation played out.
"Look, those comments that were made in the media were certainly regrettable," Svenson told reporters.
"I would have liked to see them stay behind closed doors. I plan to sit down with them over the coming period and work through any differences they may have.
"Usman's been wonderful for many years for us in Queensland and I would expect to see him in maroon this season.
"Any relationship is likely to have its challenges and we are certainly not immune to that. They are two strong willed players. They're lovers of Queensland cricket. That passion channelled in the right areas and we will be bigger and better next year.''
