Australian spinner Matt Kuhnemann faces nervous wait after completing ICC testing

Matt Kuhnemann has completed ICC testing on his suspect action, with the Australian spinner now facing a nervous wait regarding his future.

As reported in The Sydney Morning Herald via AAP, the 28-year-old underwent more than an hour's worth of tests at the national performance centre last weekend.

Kuhnemann was under the watchful eye of ICC officials throughout the process.

It comes after the left-arm orthodox bowler was cited for his action during the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, where he took 16 wickets in Galle.

He had to wear markers on his body and was surrounded by several high-speed cameras, with results to be determined within the next week.

Should his action be deemed as illegal, Kuhnemann will face suspension until he can prove he has fixed the issues.

"Matthew has completed the assessment which was performed at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

"The ICC will make a determination in due course. Neither Cricket Australia nor Matthew will be making any public comment at this time."

If he is cleared, Kuhnemann will be able to finish bowling in the Sheffield Shield season with Tasmania and will be available for Test selection later in the year.
