Hobart Hurricanes call 13-year-old sensation Mia Barwick into T20 Spring Challenge squad
The Hobart Hurricanes have turned to the next generation of talent to replace Heather Graham as teen sensation Mia Barwick is called into the squad.
The 13-year-old was elevated into the Hurricanes' top squad after Graham accepted a lifeline call from Australia's T20 World Cup team.
Barwick, a pace bowler, made waves in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League in 2023-24, earning her a spot in both the under 16 and under 19 National Championship teams.

The tournament was designed to ensure players in the women's domestic competition experienced no overall reduction following the shortening of the WBBL season.
The Hurricanes have two matches remaining but are in line to compete in the finals over the weekend.
The Hurricanes expressed their elation to utilise the talent of a pathways athlete.
"At only 13 years of age, the Hobart Hurricanes are proud to see a Cricket Tasmania pathways athlete given exposure to the professional game early on in Barwick's career," the club wrote.
The Hurricanes will begin their WBBL campaign on October 28.
