Fabian Allen takes stunning catch during Caribbean Premier League
Fabian Allen wasn’t part of the playing eleven for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their Caribbean Premier League match against Guyana Amazon Warriors, but his stunning outfield catch means he’s certainly hogged the limelight.
With Guyana 3-102 in the 17th over, chasing 133 to win, West Indian batsman Jason Mohammed slogged Hasan Ali over deep point, which for all money looked like a much needed boundary.
However Allen made good ground to his left, before diving full length and throwing out his left hand.
Incredibly, the ball stuck and Allen had pulled off what is sure to be one of the catches of the tournament.
"I don't want to be a person of the moment, but that's the best catch I've ever seen," said former West Indian star Ian Bishop.
It proved to be a turning point in the match, as the Warriors could only manage 5/26 from the last four overs, falling short of the victory target by just four runs.
