Another wicket for Adam Zampa and Australia has a 72-run win in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Mark Howard on commentary calls it a "dominant" win for the home side, and the scoreboard definitely shows that.

Adam Zampa finishes with 4-45 off 9.5 overs, with Mitchell Starc finishing with 4-47 off eight.

England dropping three straight ODI series for the first time since 2015, a lot of work to do for the reigning 50 over World Cup champions.

Australia vs England LIVE | Aussies one wicket away

David Willey is the latest to go, and it's another Englishman who finds himself bowled this evening. That's now five of them!

They call Mitchell Starc the 'vacuum' because he cleans up the tail in ruthless fashion and this is a prime example why.

He pitches one short and Willey chops it onto his stumps.

Australia just one wicket away from a series win.

Australia vs England LIVE | Starc continues collapse

There's something Aussies don't like about being hit for consecutive boundaries it appears!

Like Adam Zampa did a few overs earlier, Mitchell Starc is also hit for a four and a six but then responds by bowling Chris Woakes a few overs later.

Australia on its way towards a massive win here.

Australia vs England LIVE | Dawson rides his luck

How on earth have the bails not fallen off there?

Mitchell Starc is back into the attack and is around the wicket at the right-handed Liam Dawson, and he can't believe he's not dismissed the English all-rounder there.

Starc banged one in on a back of a length and Dawson defended it but the ball bounced behind him and spun into the stumps, but the bails are not dislodged.

"They add a lot to our cricket, Zinger bails, but they sometimes save batters," says Kerry O'Keefe.

This is just not smart batting at all from England, they're giving the match away to Australia here.

Sam Curran, just a few balls into his innings, having not spent any time assessing the pitch or the bowler, decides to try and pump Zampa into the stands and hits it straight in the air.

Astoundingly bad batting.

"England imploding at the SCG," says a dumbfounded Isa Guha on commentary.

England has now lost 4-13 in its last 19 deliveries. Zampa, meanwhile, is 3-0 off his last nine deliveries.

Australia vs England LIVE | Billings gone as collapse continues

Chris De Silva

Australia well and truly on top now after a third wicket in the space of just four overs!

After a tight couple of overs from Josh Hazlewood, Sam Billings felt the need to accelerate and ran down the wicket to Adam Zampa but ends up yorking himself and is bowled.

Zampa roars and Billings throws his head back as he strides off the SCG after making 71 off 80 deliveries.

England has lost 3-13. What a collapse this has been. Sam Curran, the Player of the Match in last weekend's T20 World Cup final is the new man at the crease.

Moeen Ali has come and gone in a whirlwind innings lasting just four deliveries!

The England captain pumped Adam Zampa for consecutive boundaries and then is bowled off the very next delivery and has to go after making 10 off just four balls.

"They've thrown those two wickets away. You've got to play it smart," says Mark Waugh.

Chris Woakes strides to the wicket. Sam Billings the key now in this run chase. The required run rate is a very manageable 5.30 at this stage.

Australia vs England LIVE | Hazlewood breaks dangerous stand

Chris De Silva

Josh Hazlewood decides enough of all of this and brings himself on and immediately gets the breakthrough, and it's James Vince who's got to go!

Hazlewood was getting the ball to tail back into the right-hander and Vince looked to slog him onto the leg side, but missed and got hit on the back leg in front of middle stump.

He was given out and DRS upholds the on-field decision. Big wicket for Australia.

"It's a huge moment in the game," Isa Guha says on commentary.

"Not sure he needed to play this shot, James Vince, the run rate is under control," Mark Waugh adds. "Umpire's call, it could've gone either way."

Australia gets the opening it so desperately craved. Can they get another quick one here?

Australia vs England LIVE | Partnership ticks over century

Chris De Silva

This match has taken a massive u-turn after Mitchell Starc's first spell, and Josh Hazlewood has brought him back with the home side in desperate need of a wicket.

The movement that Starc and Hazlewood had in the powerplay has disappeared and Australia isn't getting the reverse swing we saw the English pacemen get this afternoon.

After a slow start to his innings, Sam Billings is absolutely motoring along now, he's up to 66 off just 69 deliveries. He's passed up James Vince, who is out there on 59 off 66.

"The Australians, I don't know, they look a bit flat to me," says Mark Waugh.

"You look around the ground, there's a lot of hands on hips. This is where you need your leadership group to create a bit of energy."
