NAS calls out Fury (Tommy, that is)
Asofa-Solomona called out British boxer Tommy Fury in his post-fight interview.
That’s right – Tommy Fury, not Tyson, the legendary world champion.
“Look, ‘Big Nasty’ is here to stay,” Asofa-Solomona said.
“If we can make this next fight work, I would love it: Tommy Fury over in the UK.
“I know you guys would love to have that fight over here. A lot of girlfriends love his partner. I’d love to bring them over to Australia if they want to fight over here in Australia and experience Australia as well. I’d love the opportunity.”
Tommy Fury’s professional record is 11-0 (four knockouts).
After tonight’s demolition of Gallen, Asofa-Solomona’s record is 4-0 (two KOs).
NAS apologises for carry-on, says he acted like a ‘bloody idiot’
Asofa-Solomona has issued the swiftest of apologises – and called himself a “bloody idiot” – after mysteriously unleashing on the crowd following his brutal defeat of Gallen.
“I just want to apologise for what I did. I acted like a bloody idiot, and I want to apologise to everyone for that,” the 137kg behemoth said.
“I just got in the heat of the moment. I hope you guys can understand. It’s been a big build-up.
“I shouldn’t have behaved like that. I’m sorry.”
He apologised again at the end of the interview.
“That wasn’t on,” he said.
Gallen health update: Sharks legend up and talking
Paul Gallen was rocked by the almighty power of Nelson Asofa-Solomona – left staggering around and struggling on the floor for several minutes.
But, thankfully, the Cronulla and NSW legend is now up and walking around.
He has also shaken hands with “Big Nasty”, and they have exchanged some words.
These words are sure to have been kind ones, unlike the ferocious barbs fired back and forth in the build-up.

Gallen knocked out, NAS jumps into crowd in ugly scenes
Nelson Asofa-Solomona has ROCKED Paul Gallen.
The Sharks legend, who is 15 years older than “Big Nasty”, is on the ground and in a bad way.
Asofa-Solomona finished the job with about 10 seconds to go in round one.
And it appears Asofa-Solomona is infuriated by something that’s been said in the crowd.

Peters claims unanimous-points win
Aussie Olympian Callum Peters has claimed a unanimous-points victory against Colombia’s Juan Diego Ortiz, after a fight that was probably the toughest of his career to date.
One judge scored the bout 98-92 and the other two 97-93.
“I think it was a great fight for Callum,” Tim Tszyu said on the Main Event panel.
“Coming into the fight I watched a bit of this guy, Ortiz, and he’s got power. He was putting guys to sleep.
“And I actually thought Callum was defensively all right. A lot of the time he was catching the shots, a lot of the time he was slipping it and making him miss.
“A tremendous future for him.”
One round to go
The insight into Callum Peters’ corner has been outstanding.
“Come on mate, step up!” said one of his team members ahead of round 10.
“Big finish, OK?” said another.
“Three more minutes. Let’s go, brother.”
