'Let that bother me for years': Aussie boxing great Billy Dib lifts the lid on $1.7 million feud with 50 Cent
Billy Dib has lifted the lid on his feud with Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, claiming the iconic American rapper "robbed" him of $1.7 million during his boxing career.
The former world champion signed with the musician's ill-fated promotional company SMS Promotions when he was at the peak of his powers inside the ring.
However, when things went south, the Aussie fighter was allegedly left out of pocket.

In a fresh interview, the 39-year-old explained what went down between the pair after what was initially seen as a partnership that would take Dib's career to new heights.

"There are people that robbed me along the way," he told The BillyJoe Podcast.
"50 Cent took me to the cleaners, he robbed me blind. 50 Cent was my enemy. He was on my mind all the time ... how I let this man rob me?
"He signed me up on an amazing deal when I was 27 or 28. Signed me on a three-year deal on life-changing money and he basically in the end liquidated the company."
Dib has gone through health battles over the years and at one stage, made a call to Jackson in a bid to get some of the money he was owed.
"At the time he owed me $1.1m USD ($1.7m AUD), life-changing money," he said.
"I rang him and said I am in the hospital, I am in dire straights and he said 'I'm going to sort it out right now'. He put $50,000 in my account and liquidated the company.
"That's how he sorted it out. When I rang him and said I'm a lot short he said 'that's all you're getting and that should get you through whatever you're going through'.
"Long story short, I let that bother me for years."

Less than three years ago, Dib was diagnosed with stomach cancer and it was only then that he decided to let go of his beef with Jackson.
"I made a decision when I was diagnosed with cancer that I was going to forgive him and I was going to forgive anyone who robbed me in the sport of boxing," he explained.
"He's been living in my mind rent-free, the minute that I forgave him I set myself free."
Dib (49-6) last competed in December, scoring a win over Atilla Kayabasi.
