'Overcorrected': Eddie McGuire's insight into MCG response following gunmen infiltration
Eddie McGuire has provided additional insight into the armed men who infiltrated the MCG last Thursday, and the stadium's response that followed.
The two men were arrested for bringing firearms into the ground during the Carlton-Collingwood clash, with the stadium ramping up security on Saturday in response.
Lines to get into the Richmond-Brisbane game went all the way back to Jolimont Station due to the added measures, leaving fans frustrated.

However, having spoken to MCC chief executive Stuart Fox, McGuire believes wait times to get into games will return to normal after Gather Round.
"What happened is that two men came in and went through the scanning system," he said on Nine's Eddie and Jimmy Podcast.
"The scanning system said 'ding, ding, ding, danger, danger, danger' and the next stage, which is the human element, allowed them to come in and police didn't get to them.
"Now, whether it was intimidation, whether the guard was a little bit frightened or just negligent, doesn't make any difference because they're working on it now.
"These things are going to happen, this is why we have security. Everyone sort of wets the bed a bit on these things. 'Oh the MCG and the AFL, they've had a shocker', no, they've had an incident, and people who plan to break the law will always have the upper hand in getting to a position.
"So, what's happened since is we had the Richmond game on the weekend where they were queued up down to the Pullman and Jolimont Station. They overcorrected and they decided that they were going to go through everybody person by person.
"Stuart Fox tells me, quote, 'the evolve scanning equipment worked a treat, more thorough procedure around the secondary screening process was the issue.

"The priority is safety first. The MCC tried a few things and will now revert to normal wait times. They've worked out what they need to do and wait times will be normal, but the plea is this - don't everybody turn up with two minutes to go. Have your last drink down at Swan Street a little bit earlier, come to the game, get seated.
"We just need people to come half an hour early. By the way, the MCG is one of the few stadiums in the world that has 100 per cent testing."
With the entire competition jetting off to Adelaide for Gather Round this week, the MCG's next opportunity to host a game comes on Saturday April 19th when Melbourne hosts Fremantle.
That will be followed be the traditional Easter Monday game between Geelong and Hawthorn.
