Rory Lobb facing nervous wait after collecting Mason Cox high in thrilling Magpies victory
Western Bulldogs star Rory Lobb could face punishment after his attempt at a spoil left Mason Cox bloodied and forced to leave the field.
The Magpies went on to win the match 10.16 (76) to 10.10 (70) with the Bulldogs unable to celebrate their centenary properly in a game they played under as Footscray.
Cox's incident came with just over 10 minutes left in the final quarter as he claimed a mark.

"That's flush ... He might be in a bit of trouble, big Rory," Garry Lyon said on Fox Footy.
Jason Dunstall sympathised with Lobb.

"It looks an honest attempt at a spoil ... He (Cox) is going to have a massive shiner," Dunstall said.
Two distinguishable cuts showed on Cox's face after he went straight to the sideline.
Both he and Lobb shared a handshake at full-time.
With the Magpies winning by six points, forward Dan McStay would've had his heart in his mouth most of the match after an awful blunder just before half-time.
With Collingwood trailing, the Pies star had the chance to make the scores level with an easy shot 20 metres out. However, McStay tried to pass it off to Tim Membrey inside the square and instead missed him completely and kicked a behind.
Coach Craig McRae put his hands in his head on the boundary as the score moved to 6.7 (43) to 5.8 (38) in favour of the Bulldogs.

"Unforgiveable really, he had too many options," Lyon said.
Dunstall added: "He tried to do the right thing and pass it to Membrey and shanked it. What a let-off".
Earlier, Collingwood had to activate its sub in the first quarter after youngster Reef McInnes went down awkwardly during a marking contest.
The fullback fell during the round two clash with Fox Footy reporting it was a likely ACL injury.
"He was in a lot of pain and went straight off the ground," Lyon said.
The Bulldogs went on to lead the first quarter by six points and the score didn't change at half-time following McStay's blunder.
Collingwood pushed ahead at the break to lead by eight points after the third quarter.
Footscray brought it back in the final quarter and Joel Freijah's goal with seven minutes left brought scores level.
Moments later, a behind to Jordan De Goey and then Steele Sidebottom's goal extended the lead.
The Bulldogs pushed hard in the final minutes but a behind to Lobb was their only score, delivering the second win of the season to Collingwood.
