And what about the Lions getting former skipper Dayne Zorko up to lift the cup? Pretty amazing, this club.

Ashcroft's dream year!
12 months ago, Will Ashcroft was sidelined with a heartbreaking ACL injury.
"I play this game to win premierships," he said on 7.
"The ultimate prize is the hardest thing to achieve."
He joins a very special group of Norm Smith medallists in Shaun Hart (2001) and Simon Black (2003) as other Lions winners!

Former Carlton coach David Parkin has presented the Jock McHale medal to winning coach, Chris Fagan!
Fagan admitted his side modeled their winning ways on the strong Sydney outfit.
"You're one of the clubs we have models ourselves on, to be honest," Fagan said on the Swans.
Now, to his own successes.
Fagan is loving every second of this.
"Somehow the team who finished fifth on the ladder and had to play every week, has managed to win the flag," he said.
"To the players, what a group of footballers your are. You have shown enormous resilience. You found a way. We're going to have some fun together over the next few days."

Lachie Neale has spoken after the win, praising the Swans outfit.
"We've looked up to you for a long time," Neale said of the Swans.
He had some special thanks for his closest.
"To the boys, love you guys so much. This group is phenomenal," Neale said.
"To our fans, you guys are the best in the comp, we love what you guys bring."

Fred Wooler, Geelong 1963 premiership skipper, is presenting the first ever Ron Barassi medals to Lachie Neale and Harris Andrews.

After receiving his medal, he grabs the microphone...
"LET'S GO CMON LET'S GO YOU BEAUTY," Wilmot said in the microphone.

Oscar McInerney is jumping up and down. It's because ruckman Darcy Fort has got his premiership medal.

Rampe is all class
It's always class from Swans leader Dane Rampe.
He choked backs tears thanks the Swans fans and his playing group.
"Thank you for all your support. I'm sorry we fell short again," he said post match.
"We've fallen short again but I stand here beaming with pride that we put ourselves back in the ring and dusted ourse;ves off after 2022 (grand final loss to Geelong).
"The universe didn't have it in store for us today, but let's stick fat and get back in the ring sometime in the future."
And to the Lions, he was even more classy.
"From experience, I know how hard it is to dust yourselves off from a grand final loss and to do that, is an achievement in itself and you should be proud of that," he said.
