Daicos ‘envious’ of grand finalists
Nick Daicos is enjoying the spotlight now, but wishes Collingwood was playing at this time of year.
“I’m so bloody envious. I’ve been part of a successful team. It’s something I’ve got to grow with others and take younger boys with me and get better together,” Daicos said.
He certainly needs teammates to come with him a bit more. He polled 39 more votes than the next highest Pie.
Daicos’ witty jab at previous favouritism
Nick Daicos has been the favourite to win the Brownlow three years in a row. Third time was the charm after finishing second two years in a row.
“I’ve learned not to trust the betting markets,” Daicos laughs.

Nick Daicos wins the 2026 Brownlow Medal
It’s over, Nick Daicos cannot be caught. He win the 2026 Brownlow Medal with a month to run. Officially declared the winner after round 21, however.
After three years on the podium, twice finishing runner up, Nick Daicos gets his well-deserved crowning moment.
Records tumbling as Daicos closes in on record, medal
Nick Daicos has just broken the record for most consecutive games polling three votes with six.
He has 41 total, and will now clearly break Patrick Cripps’ record of 45. Expect him to go close to 50.
Daicos will be declared the winner of the Brownlow after this round is completed. Bontempelli won’t be mathematically able to catch him anymore.
