Brownlow hopefuls and their dazzling partners are now heading inside the venue for the main event, officially wrapping up the red carpet.

While we’ve loved seeing all their glamorous looks, it’s time for the players to put their game faces on – who will win the coveted medal?

We’re closing in on the start of tonight’s event. Players have made their way through the red carpet and to their seats.

Expect about 10-20 minutes of speeches and yapping before the count gets underway.

Remember, the Brownlow goes for multiple hours and is stretched out as long as possible, generally.

So get comfy, get a snack and prepare for a long night.

Bailey Smith has just posted to Instagram in casual clothes potentially suggesting he may be rocking up to the Brownlow after all.

Sydney players, including Charlie Curnow, Dane Rampe and Tom McCartin have arrived at this year’s Brownlow Medal.

It will be a slightly awkward night for the Swans, given teammates Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice were barred from attending.

The Swans were eliminated from the finals on Friday night, meaning they are in person at Crown in Melbourne.

A lot of extra eyes will be on them tonight.

AFL boss Andrew Dillon has received tonight’s votes from Armaguard ahead of the Brownlow count.
