YouTube star Brittani Boren Leach has revealed that she buried her baby son in a gown made from her wedding dress after he tragically died over the Christmas holidays.

She and husband Jeff Leach found their five-month-old son Crew unresponsive after they put him down for a nap on Christmas day.

They rushed him to hospital but received the devastating news that Crew had suffered catastrophic and irreparable brain damage and would not wake up.

The heartbroken couple elected to donate his organs to save the lives of other sick kids, then laid their son to rest earlier this week, their four other children attending the funeral service.

Now Brittani has revealed that Crew was buried with sweet mementos from her and each of the children, sharing on Instagram that he was buried in a gown made from her wedding dress.

"Oh, how I wish this picture was taken today, I would give anything just to hold him this close again," she wrote on Instagram, alongside an old photo of herself with Crew cuddled up to her chest.

"We buried him dressed in a gown made from my wedding dress, with a small favourite toy from each of his siblings, and this striped wrap placed snugly over him."

The heartbroken mum-of-five shared Crew's tragedy with her 924,000 Instagram followers over the holidays and has since posted several updates thanking people for their messages of support.

Today she reminded other parents not to take the precious moments with their children for granted.

"If I could say one thing to you, here it is: Take all the pictures. Forget the laundry. Forget the dishes," she wrote.

"It really doesn't matter. Just love your babies. Breathe in their scent. Memorise their smile. And love them really, really hard."

Just weeks before Crew's death Brittani posted a video to YouTube where he can be seen wrapped snugly against her as she chats through her holiday tips, the five-month-old resting happily in the striped wrap he was buried with.
