Meet the woman with the world's longest legs

Anyone with long legs will tell you the simple task of shopping for pants can easily become an ordeal.

So spare a thought for Ekaterina Lisina, who has the longest legs of any woman in the world.

The Russian model’s limbs take up a significant portion of her 6’9” physique: her left leg measures 132.8 cm (52.2 in), while her right is 132.2cm (52 in).

“When my father saw me for the first time, he said it was only legs,” she laughed.

The 29-year-old comes from a lofty family - her father, mother and brother are all taller than 6' - and by 16 she was already 6’6”.

Her height made her school life difficult at times; Lisina told host Phillip Schofield she occasionally had to "call in" her older brother for backup when her peers teased her.

And yes, before you inevitably ask the question, she does play basketball. 

In fact, Lisina played professionally from the age of 15, winning a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. She eventually quit to pursue her dream of becoming a model.

While Lisina only recently nabbed the Guinness World Record for her legs, she already had some runs on the board: she’s the world’s tallest model and Russia's tallest woman.

She also has the biggest feet of any woman in her country, wearing a size 14, or 47 in European sizing.

“It’s almost impossible to find shoes,” she confirmed on This Morning.
