Brides can potentially save up to $2000 on their wedding dress after one of South Australia's biggest bridal stores went into liquidation.

All remaining gowns are now up for auction online with some worth close to $3000 currently listed for just $17.

Bridal on Pulteney, in Adelaide, will sell off all stock on Thursday March 5 via auction house Evans Clarke, to recover debts after a sharp decline in sales.

The dresses are available to view today in-store and must be collected, in person, on March 5.

The shop previously boasted about having the "largest collections of Bridal and Bridesmaids gowns from leading Australian and International designers" in Adelaide.

It also won "Hall of Fame for Best bridal store in South Australia for 5 concurring years".

Now, most of the dresses are currently available for between $17 to $550 in the online auction.

While the sale is good news for many brides hoping to score a bargain, there are some that could potentially be left without their dream dress.

The liquidator - Stephen James of BCR Advisory - said the company was working with staff and customers to ensure as many products are provided as described.

But, he said, there were no guarantees that orders placed prior to the move would be fulfilled.
