Mystery surrounds the abrupt cancellation of a wedding the day after the hen's party.

A screenshot of one of the bride's shocked friends reacting to the news has been shared on Reddit.

"Omg last night my friend had her bachelorette party and this morning I got this notification," she captioned the photo

The Facebook notification simply read: "Event Steve and Pam's Wedding was cancelled."

A robust conversation has ensued in the comments, with speculation as to the reason behind the cancellation, many assuming cheating was involved.

"I know a girl who literally f---ed a random guy on her wedding night, the divorce was swift," shared one person.

"Classy way of breaking the news," added another.

One shared: "I knew of a similar experience. My ex-wife's cousin was getting married to his high school sweetheart. The weekend before she had her bachelorette party at some night club. She got p-ss drunk and met some random guy there and made out with him the whole night.

"Worse part is the grooms sisters were there and took pictures of the whole thing. By Sunday morning the wedding was off. They eventually got back together and got married about a year or so later. People are strange."

One person joked: "So did the stripper at least get a tip?"

"I will never understand the whole stripper thing or getting laid thing during you bachelor party or bachelorette," another wrote. "If you're going to do something like that clearly you aren't ready for a commitment such a as marriage."

"I didn't even really get a bachelor party, I went to St Augustine with my friend and we visited all the cool historic places like the old Spanish forts and shit," another said. "That was it. No strippers, only a little bit of drugs, and definitely no cheating."
