US dad interviews daughter on her first day of school every year from kindergarten to senior year

One US dad is winning the internet all over again after, two years after uploading a video to YouTube to mark his daughter's high school graduation.

Kevin Scruggs shared a three-minute clip which shows daughter Madison Scruggs, now 18, growing up before our eyes from kindergarten through to senior year.

The clip features a series of interviews between the dad and daughter on the first day of school every year for 13 years.

It's already been viewed over 64,000 times in just five days.

This isn't Kevin's first rodeo - the proud dad made a similar video as a graduation present for older daughter Mackenzie in 2017. That video has had over 2.3 million views.

"People are watching in three minutes what I’ve had the privilege to watch in 13 years,” Kevin told Huffington Post in 2017 of his video creation.

Speaking about why he created these videos in the first place, the father-of-two said it comes down to being sentimental.

"I thought it would be cool when they graduate to them to see their whole career in one short clip," he told Good Morning America, on Tuesday.

Adding: "I wanted to have something to remember".

While Madison told the show, she enjoyed watching how much she's changed over the years, even those "weird, awkward stages".

"It was [also] cool to see my personality change," she said, adding: "I'm really appreciative of how much time my dad put into it".

The clip starts after Madison's first day at kindergarten and ends with a sweet montage of the father-daughter saying "I love you" over the years.
