"On Friday, the 11th of October, at 10:15am, my muse, my angel, my mother, Veronica Otten, passed away in my arms, surrounded by her beautiful children, amazing husband, and gorgeous grandchildren," Otten's emotional message continued.

"It was sudden, unexpected, and far too soon for someone who had so much light left to give.

"My mother was a force of nature in the gentlest way. Her beauty wasn't just in her presence but in the way she graced everything and everyone around her with love, kindness, and unwavering strength."

"She wasn't meant to go so soon, and we are still trying to comprehend the depth of this loss. But in true Otten style, we are leaning on each other, trying to bring lightness to such a sad time."

Otten reflected that she was "so lucky to have the family and community that I have, so lucky" as she navigates her grief.

"For those who knew her, you'll understand just how much her spirit and love touched us all," she wrote.
