'If you can see it': Blue Wiggle reveals why new lineup is working

It's been three years since The Wiggles were forced to shake-up their line-up when Emma Watkins left, and the new-look members are seeing a whole new level of success.

The children's entertainment group has doubled its line-up to include OG member Anthony Field along with Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce and newbies Tsehay Hawkins, Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete and Lucia Field.

While parents might think they're seeing double, kids around Australia and the world are loving the new look line-up.

The Wiggles now has a global Youtube audience of 48 million unique monthly viewers, and they're still Australia's number-one touring act with over half a million people buying tickets to see their live shows each year.

Blue Wiggle Anthony Field attributes the group's latest success to the change in having a "more reflective cast".

"We have African children in the audience, African families come and see us because they can see Tsehay up there," he tells 9honey.

Lucia, Anthony's daughter, who also shares the stage as the new Blue Wiggle, says she loves seeing all the new messages for support.

"There was a message for Tsehay, and in fact, Tsehay says it all the time ... 'if you can see it, you can be it', and that is so important for young kids to see."

Anthony also says there are a lot of Filipino families in the audience now to see Purple Wiggle John, especially after they got John's mum to come on one of the shows.

"John's mum is more popular than John," he adds.

Lucia says they are constantly getting feedback about the new look line-up at every show they perform.
