Thai actress Nida Patcharaweeraphong dies in speedboat accident
Thai actress Nida Patcharaweeraphong has been killed in a speedboat accident.
Nida, 37, also known as 'Tangmo', was in the speedboat with five friends including her manager on Thursday evening when she fell overboard into the Chao Phraya river at approximately 10.40pm.
After realising she was missing the group began searching for her for 20 minutes but were unable to find her.

They called authorities who contacted her family, with brother Dais Dejjab joining the search and spotting her body floating in the water two days after the accident.
She was located a kilometre from where she fell overboard near the Rama VII Bridge in Nonthaburi province, northwest of Bangkok.
"The pain everyone in the family is going through is unbearable," Dais later The Sun. "We loved our sister so much and she brought us so much happiness."

"I would like to thank everyone for their efforts. I came to take her back home now."
Her mother Panida Siriyuthyothin says her daughter was a good swimmer and can't believe she is gone.
"Before that night she went missing I suddenly thought about her," she told the publication. "I wanted to call her. When I heard the news, I could not believe it. I still hoped it wasn't her."

A autopsy found Nida had died from drowning and also had a wound on her left leg thought to have been caused by the speedboat's propeller.
The owner and operator of the speedboat, Tanupat Lerttaweewit, has since been charged after it was found he was operating the vessel with an expired license.
There are unconfirmed reports the actress wasn't wearing a lifejacket at the time of the accident because she was posing for photos.
Tangmo, a model turned actress, found fame in a series of movies and TV show, including her most recent series The Fallen Leaf.
Her final social media post was shared on Instagram on four days ago showing the actress posing on a beach in Phuket.
Funeral arrangements are reportedly underway.
