The cute way Serena Williams involves her daughter in her beauty routine

Serena Williams has been a devoted mum from day one, with her Instagram feed full of adorable shots of her daughter, Alexis Olympia.

Now the 23-time Grand Slam champion has revealed she and little Olympia like to spend some special mother-daughter time together every night as they work on their beauty routines together.

According to Williams, Olympia, one, loves to hang out with Mum while she gets ready for bed at night, following along with a few steps of her beauty routine.

Starting by washing their faces together with coconut oil, Williams took fans through the routine she shares with her daughter in a video for Harper's Bazaar.

“Olympia, who is my daughter, actually does the routine with me," the athlete gushed in the clip.

"It’s safe for kids too, she's only one-and-a-half and she loves it.”

Williams went on to explain that she lets Olympia get involved in several steps of her beauty routine, letting the tot wash her face with coconut oil and then giving her a few dabs of Vitamin C serum.

Then the mother-daughter duo curl up in front of the TV for 10 minutes while Williams lets her eye mask work its magic.

"I watch Finding Nemo because she watches that a million times and I think I can repeat these movies," the mum-of-one joked in the clip.

Williams went on to finish her beauty routine, using another eye serum before slapping on a layer of anti-aging face cream and topping it all off with a facial spray.

She favours the Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater by Mario Badescu, a known favourite brand of long-time pal Meghan Markle.

In fact, it may have even been the Duchess of Sussex who got Williams into the product, the tennis star confessing her "best friend" recommended the spray.
