Kate and Meghan finally find common ground in a rather unexpected place

It's no secret Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton aren't the closest pair of sister-in-laws the world has ever seen.

The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex are somewhat seen as two sides of the same coin, sharing few similarities aside from their royal connections.

But, despite their differences, it seems there is at least one thing the pair can agree on.

While it may not be the official olive branch royal watchers have waited years for, we do have on very minor update in Kate and Meghan's relationship.

They're both celebrating Taylor Swift's engagement.

Swift and her now-fiance, Travis Kelce, announced their engagement early Wednesday morning with a joint post on Instagram.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨," they captioned the post.

The post now has more than 25 million likes, with countless celebrities celebrating the news – with royals among them.

The royal duo both liked the post, with Kate hitting the like button from the Prince and Princess of Wales' joint account and Meghan from her personal account.

So while they may not be on the same page about everything, the duo are both celebrating Swift and Kelce's love story.

The support from the royals comes as no surprise, especially after Kate's husband, Prince William, and two eldest children attended Swift's Eras Tour last year.

in June 2024 William, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, danced along to the three-and-a-half hour set, with the trio snapping a selfie with Swift and Kelce backstage after the show.

The year prior, Meghan had also attended the Eras Tour, with a source telling People at the time that she had attended a show at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium in August 2023.
