The women of Sweden's royal family have worn their finest gowns and tiaras to attend this year's Nobel Prize awards in Stockholm.

The annual event sees King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and senior members of the royal family, mingle with the winners of the prestigious awards during a glittering ceremony at the city's Concert Hall followed by a banquet.

This year the King and Queen were joined by Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel, Princess Madeleine and her husband Christopher O'Neill and Prince Carl Philip.

His wife, Princess Sofia, was absent from the celebrations as she is still on maternity leave following the birth of Princess Ines in February. At last year's event, Princess Sofia was heavily pregnant.

The three royal women re-wore gowns from their wardrobes for the 2025 ceremony, but it was Crown Princess Victoria who delivered the most unexpected look.

The 48-year-old chose a gown by French designer Jacques Zehnder, previously worn by her mother to the same event in 1994.

Crown Princess Victoria accessorised with the Baden Fringe tiara, which features classic diamond spikes and is one of the most striking pieces owned by the Swedish royals.
