Queen Mary's four children in playful battle to make best gingerbread house inside palace kitchen
Queen Mary and King Frederik's four children have gone into battle to see who could make the best gingerbread house.
Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine split up into two teams – brothers versus sisters –for the playful challenge.
Their sibling rivalry was on display as they attempted to create the fiddly festive treat inside the kitchen of their family home, Frederik VIII's Palace.

The clip was shared to the Danish Royal House's social media accounts, one week after a video of the family decorating their Christmas tree made headlines around the world.
In the new clip, Crown Prince Christian, 20, and his brother Prince Vincent, 14, attempt to build their gingerbread house only to have it collapse seconds later.
On the other side of the large kitchen bench, Princess Isabella, 18, and Princess Josephine, 14, carefully decorate theirs.

A privacy screen is set up between them, to stop prying eyes.
But Crown Prince Christian and Prince Vincent try to trick their sisters by pulling out a completed gingerbread house from underneath the bench, replacing their broken one.
When the time is up, they each reveal their creations.
But Princess Isabella is immediately suspicious.
"How is theirs 10 times prettier?" she says. "You didn't make that."

The fun clip was set to the 1991 hit Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin' Stevens.
It was filmed inside the kitchen of the royal family's home, Frederik VIII's Palace, one of the four identical mansions that make up the Amalienborg complex in Copenhagen.
King Frederik and Queen Mary, and their children, will host Christmas inside Frederik VIII's Palace this year, breaking from the traditional celebrations at Marselisborg Castle in Aarhus.
The family will attend a Christmas Eve service at Copenhagen Cathedral, where King Frederik and Queen Mary married in 2004, and they'll return on Christmas Day for a morning mass before hosting lunch inside Frederik VIII's Palace.
The video shared overnight from the Royal House shows the kitchen to have a sleek Scandinavian design featuring wooden benches and a white lamp.
The then-Crown Prince family moved in after an extensive renovation and modernisation in 2010, which had begun in 2004 around the time of the royal wedding.

The interior and exterior restorations and renovations were carried out by Arkitema and architecture firm Erik Einar Holms Tegnestue, along with input from Frederik and Mary, the Danish Palaces and Properties Agency and the City of Copenhagen.
"We succeeded in transforming the palace into a modern home with functional working spaces that integrate contemporary functions without damaging the building historic features," Arkitema said following the completion of the works.
The flooring included bespoke pinewood planks by Dinesen that match the historical floors, of the late French Empire Rococo style of the 1800s, both in appearance and quality.

Frederik and Mary chose 10 Danish contemporary artists for the inside decorations, which can be seen in the background when the royal couple hosts events, and meetings, inside their home.
When the palace was briefly open to the public before the family moved in, the queues to go inside and have a look were among the biggest the city had seen in a long time.
