Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are followed by 9.2 million fans on their social media account, Sussex Royal.

But as of August 1, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not following a single person on Instagram - zero, zip, nada, nil.

And this is no accident, they've specifically gone in and unfollowed everyone.

But it's all for a very important reason.

Since they started their Instagram account in April, the couple have used it as a way of highlighting causes they're passionate about.

They kicked things off in May by similarly unfollowing friends and family (including The Cambridges and Prince Charles) and instead, only followed 13 accounts that promoted mental health awareness.

Since then, they followed suit for Pride in June and July has been all about conservation.

Now, for August, the couple are asking for suggestions and nominations from their followers, for accounts which promote a 'Force For Change'.

"While baby photos are among @SussexRoyal's draws, most posts are dedicated to the pair's work as royals," the publication begins, explaining why the couple made the list.

"Each month, in an effort to highlight advocates and organisations focusing on issues such as climate change and mental health awareness, the account rotates the users it follows—a savvy strategy that has driven headlines.

"The Sussexes' forward-thinking, cause-oriented approach to social media fits neatly with other ways they are establishing their identity beyond the crown."
