Royal fans note striking resemblance between Princess Charlotte and Princess Diana in funeral image
Royal fans have pointed out a striking resemblance between Princess Charlotte and her grandmother Princess Diana, as the young royal attended Queen Elizabeth's funeral on Monday.
Charlotte walked behind her great-grandmother's coffin into Westminster Abbey, alongside her brother Prince George, and preceded by parents Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales.
Both Charlotte and George had travelled with their mother Kate and Camilla, Queen Consort in the same car to the chapel, as Prince William and King Charles walked in the official procession.

This is the first time the young royals have been seen in public since Her Majesty died on September 8 at her Balmoral estate, but they originally weren't meant to attend her funeral.
Photographers captured a moment Charlotte, who was wearing a back hat, glanced out the window at passing crowds.
The image was quickly shared across social media with royal watchers comparing the young Princess to her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

"Little Princess Charlotte looks so much like a very young Princess Diana," another person tweeted.
While another watcher noted she "has the Diana head tilt".
Charlotte has certainly inherited some of Diana's physical features.
The resemblance is as much about Charlotte's facial expressions as it is about her looks. Just like William, Charlotte is often seen tilting her face down, a trademark of the woman once nicknamed "Shy Di" by tabloids. She also channels an impish energy, much like Diana did.
Since she was born, the daughter of Prince William and Kate has been compared to various members of the Windsor and Spencer families, including the late Queen Elizabeth II and more extended relatives like Lady Kitty Spencer.

It's not the first time Charlotte's likeness to Diana has been pointed out by royal fans.
At the christening of her baby brother Prince Louis, held in the Chapel Royal at London's St James's Palace in 2018, people couldn't help but notice the remarkable resemblance.
Some fans exclaimed over Charlotte having "Diana's eyes".

Both George and Charlotte looked sombre as they took their places in the procession just inside of the chapel at 11.00am London time as the Queen's funeral began, slowly and steadily walking behind their parents behind the coffin.
Charlotte walked with her hands clasped together in front of her, with her head looking down.
After Queen Elizabeth II's coffin took its place in the Quire, George and Charlotte took their seats with their parents.
