Queen Camilla questioned about Andrew-Epstein saga after Prince Edward's comments

Queen Camilla has been asked about the scandal engulfing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after the latest release of the Epstein files.

The disgraced royal features a number of times, shedding new light on his years-long friendship with the convicted sex offender.

The fallout appears to have sped up Andrew's eviction from Royal Lodge, with confirmation he moved out of the Windsor mansion on Monday to a smaller property on the King's private Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

On Tuesday, Prince Edward became the first royal to publicly comment on the Epstein files, saying it was "really important to remember the victims".

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the latest release of files.

Queen Camilla was questioned about the saga on Wednesday morning (Thursday in Australia) when she was visiting Christ Church Primary School in Camden.

The queen, who is patron of the National Literacy Trust, was there to open its library.

A reporter from ITV News said to the queen: "Will the royal family help the Epstein investigation?"

"Do you have a message for Epstein's victims, Your Majesty?"

But Camilla did not answer and continued to walk towards the building's entrance.

The Queen has long supported victims of domestic and sexual violence through her royal work.

In October last year, when the King stripped Andrew of his royal titles and started his eviction from Royal Lodge, Charles and Queen Camilla made it clear their thoughts were with Epstein's victims.

The statement from Buckingham Palace about Andrew's demotion included, for the first time, acknowledgment of abuse survivors from the King and Queen.

It said: "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."

Prince Edward was asked about the scandal on Tuesday while in Dubai.

Andrew's younger brother said: "Well, with the best will in the world, I'm not sure this is the audience that is probably the least bit interested in that.

"They all came here to listen to education, solving the future, but no, I think it's all really important always to remember the victims.

"Who are the victims in all this? A lot of victims in all this."

His comments were remarkable only because he is the first royal family member to speak on camera about the latest developments in the Epstein scandal.

Last week, the Prince and Princess of Wales were heckled by a member of the public who asked about Andrew and Epstein, while carrying out engagements in Scotland.

King Charles, too, was heckled last year before stripping his brother of his prince titles.

Overnight, a lawyer for an exotic dancer said Epstein and Andrew asked her to take part in a threesome at Epstein's Florida home in 2006.

She also claims she was underpaid after being hired to dance for the pair.

Pressure is now building on Andrew to give evidence in the US over his relationship with the paedophile financier.

A second woman has come forward to claim she was trafficked by Epstein to the UK to have sex with Andrew inside Royal Lodge, his former home.

Thames Valley Police, which has jurisdiction for the area where the property is located is located in Windsor, are now looking into the new claims.

The woman's lawyer told the BBC the encounter allegedly occurred inside Royal Lodge in 2010.

After spending the night with Andrew, the woman says she was given tea and a tour of Buckingham Palace.

Andrew has always denied the allegations made against him.
