Gun salutes sound out across London to mark Queen Camilla's 76th birthday
Gun salutes have sounded across London to mark the birthday of Queen Camilla.
It is the first birthday of the Queen since the coronation in May and the first formal birthday salute since King Charles III acceded to the throne in September last year.
Queen Camilla celebrated turning 76th on Monday July 17.

The 41-gun salute for Her Majesty was performed by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery Battery in Green Park, in central London, at noon.
But during the firing, a soldier on horseback fell from his horse as it stumbled, startled by the loud noise.
Warnings had been issued to members of the public to avoid walking dogs in Green Park around the time of the gun salute, due to the noise.
The display was followed at 1pm by a 62-gun Royal Salute from Tower Wharf by the Honourable Artillery Company.

Earlier in the day, the Band of the Irish Guards performed a rendition of Happy Birthday during the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen was expected to be marking the occasion privately with her husband, King Charles.
The couple was last seen in public on Thursday during a visit to St Ives, in Cornwall.

It was their first visit to the county since King Charles took the throne. He and Queen Camilla used to be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, titles now inherited by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Queen Camilla also made a recent appearance at Wimbledon alongside her sister Annabel Elliott.

The monarch and his wife are expected to travel to Balmoral Castle, in the Scottish Highlands, soon where they will continue the late Queen Elizabeth II's tradition of spending the summer there.

In the past, then-Prince Charles used to spend the warmer months at his home Birkhall – on the Balmoral estate – but he's likely to stay in the main castle, as his mother used to do.
A number of royal family members will travel to Scotland to spend part of their summer break there with the King and Queen over the coming months.
