Ellie Goulding says Princess Eugenie has given her 'excellent' pregnancy advice
It's not uncommon for expectant mothers to seek pregnancy advice from friends who've been there before — but it's not often those friends are royals.
Ellie Goulding is currently expecting her first child, and has spoken about the support she received from her close friend Princess Eugenie, a new mum herself.

Speaking to The Telegraph, the British pop star said Eugenie and singer Katy Perry were among the friends she informed of her pregnancy before announcing it last month.
"[They] gave me excellent advice like where to find the best pregnancy pillows to get a good night's sleep," Goulding said.
The princess welcomed son August, her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank, on February 9.

Meanwhile, Perry became a mother to Daisy, her daughter with fiance Orlando Bloom, in August 2020.
Goulding has been friends with Eugenie since 2011, when she was invited to sing at Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton.

"She's been a great friend throughout this," the singer says of their simultaneous experience of first-time pregnancy.

"We've talked a lot about pregnancy and she's been inspirational because she just takes everything in her stride."
In their almost decade-long friendship, Goulding and Princess Eugenie have taken several overseas holidays together.
Eugenie's older sister Princess Beatrice is also good friends with the 'Love Me Like You Do' singer.

It's believed Eugenie even introduced Goulding to her future husband, Caspar Jopling, during a dinner in 2017.
She had become friends with the art dealer through her work in art galleries, and even made a candid appearance on Jopling's Instagram in 2016:
Eugenie certainly has form when it comes to setting up couples, having previously introduced cousin Prince Harry to his ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas in 2012.
Goulding performed at the celebrations following Eugenie and Jack's wedding in 2018, and the Brooksbanks attended her wedding to Jopling the following year.
Also present were Beatrice and Sarah, Duchess of York, while Jack served as a groomsman.

The two couples were spotted out on a double date in London in July 2020, during the UK's more relaxed COVID-19 rules.
With Goulding due to give birth in a matter of weeks — she revealed her baby news in February at 30 weeks pregnant — their future catch-ups are likely to look very different.
