"I got the best present I could ask for!" she wrote.

August is adorably rugged up in a white beanie and a knitted cardigan with his name embroidered across the back in blue.
Eugenie has a similar item in her wardrobe — a pink silk bomber jacket she had custom-made for the festival-style celebrations that followed her wedding in 2018.

The jacket, created by Sam Dougal, had the words 'Mrs Brooksbank' embroidered on the back in the princess' own handwriting.
We can only hope Jack has an embroidered coat of his own to match his wife and bub.
August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was born at London's Portland Hospital, where his mother and aunty Princess Beatrice were both delivered.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also welcomed their son Archie at the private hospital in May 2019.

Currently eleventh in line to the throne, August, who doesn't have a royal title, is the first grandson for Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.
He's also the ninth great-grandchild for the Queen and Prince Philip, who have this week delighted in the arrival of their tenth: Zara and Mike Tindall's son Lucas.

Eugenie and Jack drew inspiration from their family tree for their son's name; August was one of Prince Albert's middle names, while Philip is a nod to the Duke of Edinburgh.

It's believed the Brooksbanks are currently living at Royal Lodge, the Windsor home of Andrew and Fergie, where Eugenie and Beatrice grew up.
Eugenie and Jack typically live at Ivy Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace, but they relocated to Royal Lodge during the UK's first lockdown in 2020.
During the princess' pregnancy, they briefly moved into Frogmore Cottage, Harry and Meghan's home in Windsor, before returning to the York family residence.
