How Princess Charlotte will celebrate her birthday on May 2
Plans to celebrate Princess Charlotte's fifth birthday on May 2 have been hastily rearranged due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The little princess can look forward to a royal Zoom party, according to a source who says family members will be dialling in for the occasion.
"The family has arranged a Zoom party for her, so she can speak to family and friends," the source told the Express in the UK.
"Then, they have put together a full plan that will give her all the fun of a birthday – including cake and games – despite the extraordinary circumstances we are faced with. Her great-grandmother will be joining the family call on the big day.

"As far as Charlotte is concerned, the important part is that her whole family are by her side to say happy birthday … she's grown up with tablets and video calls, so she won't be fazed."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been in isolation at the family's Anmer Hall home since the health crisis began, with Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, two, making the most of the home's expansive outdoor areas.

As is royal tradition, new photos of Princess Charlotte will be released on May 1, a day before her birthday, to mark the occasion.

Prince Louis turned two on April 23 with photos of the growing prince released on April 22, showing the youngest Cambridge child with colourful paint all over his hands and later on, his face.

Plans for his birthday were also changed due to the coronavirus crisis, the family spending time at their home playing games including hide and seek and FaceTiming the Queen at Windsor Castle where she remains in isolation with Prince Philip.

It's a busy time for royal birthdays with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex preparing to celebrate their son Louis' first birthday on May 6 from their new home in California, with photos of the royal also expected to be released a day before his virtual birthday celebration.
