Prince Philip's letter to fans after car crash

A Royal fan has shared a letter they received from Buckingham Palace, after sending well-wishes to Prince Philip following his car crash in Norfolk last month.

The anonymous 23-year-old, who goes by the name Crown Replies on Instagram shared a picture of the letter on social media.

"A reply from The Duke of Edinburgh following the accident earlier in January," they captioned the post.

It noted the accident "was a shock for all concerned. The Norfolk emergency services were quick to respond and assist those involved."

The letter was signed by Suzy Lethbridge, Correspondence Secretary to The Duke of Edinburgh's Office as opposed to Prince Philip himself.

The 97-year-old did put pen to paper however in a note to Emma Fairweather, the woman who broke her wrist in the crash.

The mum-of-two told a UK newspaper she was touched by the gesture, being a Royal fan herself.
