Prince Nikolaos of Greece engaged nine months after shock divorce
Prince Nikolaos of Greece is reportedly engaged to his new partner, just months after announcing his divorce from his former wife, Princess Tatiana.
According to publication HELLO! Greece, the royal, 55, has proposed to his new partner Chrysí Vardinogianni, the daughter of shipowner Giorgos Vardinogiannis and Agapi Politi.
The new couple plan to wed "in a very private ceremony" attended only by "close friends and family," Hello! Greece said.

In fact, Hello! reports that the date has been set as February 7, meaning a short turnaround for the nuptials.
Nikolaos, the son of Queen Anne-Marie and the late King Constantine, has not yet confirmed the news himself.
Vardinogianni has long been a close friend of the Greek royal family, having attended many family events.
She was recently seen at the wedding of Nikolaos' sister, Princess Theodora and Matthew Kumar.
Local newspaper Proto Thema published footage of the couple walking down the street together on January 17, adding that Vardinogianni accompanied Prince Nikolaos to the memorial service marking two years since the death of his father King Constantine, as well as the luncheon held at the Greek royal family's former summer palace afterwards.
The news comes just nine months after Nikolaos and his wife, Princess Tatiana, were divorcing after 14 years together.

"Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana after fourteen years of living together, have decided to dissolve their marriage," read a statement delivered at the time.
"Both express the difficulty of this decision, the deep appreciation and respect they have for each other, but also the love with which they have walked all these years.
"The same values of respect and understanding will form the basis of their relationship in the future, a relationship of deep and sincere friendship.

"They will continue to live and work in Greece, a place where they both feel at home. The family will always be at their side. Thank you very much for your respect and discretion."
