When plans to remove Harry and Meghan from royal roles actually began
Plans to remove the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their remaining roles in the royal family began much earlier than this year's Megxit review in 2021, according to Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie.
In a recent episode of The Heir Pod podcast, Scobie said plans were underway to remove Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, from their remaining roles within the monarchy as early as November.
Prince Harry's photo was reportedly removed from The Queen's Commonwealth Trust website at that time.

"I know that they were particularly keen to be involved because, of course, it focuses on the great work that young people across the Commonwealth were doing and I think their voices really resonated with those young people," Scobie said during the episode. "In fact, we saw them working very closely with the Queen's Commonwealth leaders.

It was The Sun that first reported the removal of Harry's photo from The Queen's Commonwealth Trust website in November, reaching out to the organisation to question the change.

A trust spokesperson responded: "When contacted by The Sun on Sunday in late November last year, we were entirely unaware of any other conversations that might have been underway between others regarding the involvement of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex with us.
"QCT was operating on a business-as-usual basis at that time."

News that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be removed from their remaining patronages was confirmed in February 2021 following a delayed review of the terms of their split from the monarchy.
It was also announced Prince Harry would be stripped of his remaining honorary military titles.
