Prince Harry is planning to take his children Archie and Lilibet to visit their grandmother Princess Diana’s grave for the first time during the family’s upcoming trip to the UK.

The visit is expected to take place at Althorp House, Diana’s home in Northamptonshire, where she was laid to rest after her death in 1997, according to The Sun.

His children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have never visited the private island where Diana’s grave sits in the middle of the estate’s lake.

The reported visit will come just days after what would have been Diana’s 65th birthday.

Harry was just 12 years old when Diana died in a car crash in Paris at the age of 36.

The Duke of Sussex has visited her grave many times over the years and has spoken openly about those visits, including in his memoir, Spare.

In the book, Harry described bringing Meghan Markle to Althorp for the first time in 2022, calling it an emotional milestone.

“At long last, I was bringing the girl of my dreams home to meet mum,” he wrote.

The Sussexes and their children are expected to travel from their home in California to Britain next month for events linked to Harry’s Invictus Games, with the “one year to go” celebrations for the 2027 Games set to take place in Birmingham.

It will be the first time Archie and Lilibet have returned to Britain since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

King Charles’ second son is set to return with the express purpose of the monarch having quality time with his youngest grandchildren, an unnamed source told the Telegraph UK.

“He has wanted to have his kids meet their grandfather, especially after their summit in London last year,” they told the newspaper.

“While there have been deep-seated trust issues around Harry, there is a sense now that all parties want peace.”

However, Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, remains strained, with reports suggesting there are no plans for the pair to meet.
