Prince George to follow his dad’s footsteps and attend Eton College, palace announces
Prince George is set for a major change later this year, with the soon-to-be teenager starting high school.
Despite many royal watchers believing parents Prince William and Kate would break with tradition and send him to a co-ed school, they’ve instead stuck with royal tradition.

Kensington Palace confirmed the young future king would attend the prestigious Eton College and follow in his dad and uncle Harry’s famous footsteps.
Princess Diana’s brother Earl Charles Spencer also attended the boys-only boarding school, which has produced 20 British prime ministers.
This means it could give the future monarch a friendship with one of his future PMs.
It’s also conveniently located less than a 15-minute drive from the Wales family’s home of Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Prince George, who turns 13 on July 22, will finish at Lambrook School when its school year ends on July 4.
He has been attending the Berkshire primary school with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, since the family’s move from London to Windsor in September 2022.
It was thought George would be sent to co-ed Marlborough College where his mum, Kate, went.

This would have meant both his younger siblings could join him there in their high school years.
Details of which high school Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, might attend will only be announced closer to the end of their time at Lambrook School.
Princes William and Harry famously attended Eton College.
“I’ve really enjoyed being able to go about Eton as just another student,” Prince William said during an interview at the end of his schooling, aged 18.
Prince George will start at Eton in September, the start of the new school year in the UK.
