Meghan Markle visits Texas town following school shooting
The Duchess of Sussex has visited a memorial outside Uvalde County Courthouse in Texas in the US, set up in memory of the 19 children and two teachers killed in a school shooting this week.
Meghan Markle, 40, was dressed casually in jeans, a t-shirt, sneakers and a baseball cap for the somber occasion.
She lay a bouquet of white roses at the memorial site, taking a moment to walk past each of the white crosses displaying the 21 victims names.

The duchess appeared emotional as she took in the memorial, at one stage standing and folding her arms in a moment of reflection.
It was Tuesday when Salvador Rolando Ramos, 18, entered Robb Elementary School and killed the 19 children and two teachers just after 11.30am.

His grandmother was the one to raise the alarm to police before being admitted for critical care, according to reports.
It isn't known how the gunman accessed the school building.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in Montecito in the US. It is understood Meghan boarded a three hour flight to visit the town where the shooting took place.
This isn't the first time a British royal has visited the site of a tragedy that has touched them.
The Duchess of Cambridge visited a memorial for murdered British woman Sarah Everard who was murdered in London in 2021 as she made her way home.
Kate, 40, lay a bunch of daffodils picked from her Kensington Palace garden before pausing at the pile of flowers for a moment of reflection.

It isn't known if Meghan plans to visit her father Thomas Markle Snr who suffered a suspected stroke earlier this week.
Thomas, 77, was transported from his home in Mexico to a hospital in California for treatment.
Prince Harry and Meghan will return to the UK in June to join the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations with their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months.
