Grace Kelly's Hollywood legacy lives on among members of the Monaco royal family, which she married into back in 1956.

Her granddaughter Charlotte Casiraghi is one of those carrying on the torch as a model, fashion muse and movie producer.

The 38-year-old, who is also an equestrian, was spotted at the Chanel show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week earlier this week, years after she took part in one of the brand's runways on horseback.

So, who is Casiraghi and how does she fit into the royal bloodline? Let's take a look:

The Grace Kelly connection

Charlotte is the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco – Princess Grace and Prince Rainier's eldest child – and late Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi.

Stefano was Princess Caroline's second husband. They were together from 1983 to 1990, when he died in a powerboating accident at the age of 30.

Charlotte is the middle of three children and the couple's only daughter.

Charlotte also has a half-sister, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, and two step-siblings from her mother's third marriage in 1999 to German royal Prince Ernst August of Hanover.

She's the niece of Princess Stephanie and Prince Albert, the current head of the royal household, whom she shares a strong bond with.

From The Firm to fashion

Not having an official role within The Firm meant the young royal was free to pursue her other passions.

Casiraghi became an equestrian and took part in show jumping competitions.

Through that, she became an ambassador for Gucci's equestrian collections in 2010, before becoming a face of the fashion house's cosmetics range in 2014.
