Many moons ago, Prince Harry was on Facebook - but a fake name ensured we mere commoners would never have been able to discover him.

Members of the Royal Family are typically absent from social media; even Meghan Markle has deleted her personal accounts ahead of marrying her royal fiance.

However, back in 2012 The Telegraph claimed Harry was active on Facebook, concealing his identity behind the name ‘Spike Wells’.

According to the 36-year-old's former co-star Wendell Pierce, "London" served as shorthand for Harry.

“We always talked about him in code, really. You know, ‘How you doing?’, ‘Oh I’m going to London, coming from London’, whatever.”
