The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle's life in photos
March 9, 2024: Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, took the opportunity during a panel discussion for International Women's Day to praise her husband Prince Harry for his support.
Speaking at the keynote "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen" on the first day of the South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas, the royal gestured towards the front row where Harry was sitting as she talked.
"I'm fortunate in that, among the privileges I have in my life, I have an incredible partner," Meghan said of her husband.
"My husband is such a hands-on dad and such a supporter of me and my family. That I don't take for granted. That is a real blessing," the former actress said.
"But a lot of people don't have that same level of support. So I think for us, it's about putting safeguards in so women and mums especially cannot feel like they're even more vulnerable when they go online."
Harry looked touched to hear the tribute from his wife as he sat in the front row.

Meghan was spotted sporting her engagement ring for the first time in over nine months.
The ring is composed of one large Botswana diamond and two from the late Princess Diana's collection, valued at an eye-watering price.
It is reportedly worth £120,000 (AUD$231,636 ) and hasn't been seen on her finger since May of 2023.
Designed by Cleave & Company, which was the late Queen Elizabeth's regular jeweller, rumours regarding its disappearance were rife.
According to People Magazine, the ring was getting serviced as a result of a loose setting.
Meghan Markle has released a new portrait image to accompany the news of her new podcast deal on Sussex.com, launched in February 2024.
The portrait has been taken by the Duchess of Sussex's favoured photographer and friend Misan Harriman with whom the royal has worked with for several years.
In the photo Meghan, 42, is smiling wearing a gray sleeveless turtleneck top with her hands folded in front of her.
Harriman has also previously photographed Harry and Meghan's children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, as well as the couple's pregnancy announcement and behind-the-scenes at the Invictus Games.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere of the movie Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 23.
The former senior royals walked the red carpet hand-in-hand, Meghan dressed in a black billowing skirt while Harry donned a casual open shirt with a suit jacket and pants.
Meghan kept her dark hair slicked back in a low bun and she paired the look with some stunning gold earrings.
The pair travelled to Jamaica from their home in Montecito, California in the US.

Meghan may have developed her love of the game and support of the team during her time living in Toronto while she starred in hit series Suits from 2011 until 2017.
The next Invictus Games 2025 will take place in Vancouver.
Meghan Markle has stunned at the 2023 Variety Power Of Women event at Mother Wolf on November 16.
Meghan arrived at the event wearing a stunning beige off-the-shoulder dress, which she paired with an elegant black clutch.
