Portrait of Lotte: Dad shares time lapse video of daughter over 18 years

A father from the Netherlands has shared an incredible video of his daughter growing up.

Filmmaker Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter Lotte every day from when she was a newborn in 1999 to reaching adulthood at 18 years old. The footage comes together to create an incredible time lapse video that whizzes through her childhood in just five minutes.

It's unlikely that he'll stop filming his daughter, even now she's an adult. "I was so afraid that I'd forget how they look," he said. "Now I never will.

"And I'll keep filming, of course."
