Company under fire for 'outrageous' plus-sized tights advertisement

We are embracing body positivity now more than ever — but it seems one company might have missed the memo.
Online retailer Wish.com has come under fire online for the way it has advertised plus-sized tights, PEOPLE reports.
Rather than showing the tights on plus-sized models, the company — which sells Chinese manufactured products to American customers — is showing them on thin models who are stretching them over their entire bodies to demonstrate the bigger size.
The company, which functions mainly as an app, uses various images to advertise the $2 tights. In one, a model stretches them over her hands and in another, a model puts both her legs in one pantyhose leg. There is also one picture with a model pulling them up to her eyes.
The ads have caused a stir online, with many questioning why the company would advertise them in such an "outrageous" way.
“I’m so p---ed off, how is this an actual ad for plus-size tights??” asked one user.
“Speechless,” wrote another.
The company has yet to respond to the widespread criticism. Most viewed in Lifestyle
