Say hello to your go-to gift for kids this Christmas - for as little as $25
Shopping for kids each Christmas just seems to get harder, particularly as children get older and are harder to impress.
There are nine 'kids' in my family, aged from 21 to 10. While some of them are technically no longer kids, they are still referred to as such, for now.
More importantly, they can still expect to receive a gift this Christmas.
We only do proper gifts for children for Christmas in my family. Everyone else gets a bottle of something or chocolates.

There has been some discussion of taking the older ones off the list and even suggesting to them that they, God forbid, purchase gifts for us!
We've decided to wait another year as they are all studying and only working part-time.

So, what to buy for children in that age range? And younger kids whose tastes change like the wind? All while trying to stick to a budget?

I have found the solution, my friends. I have found the perfect gift for kids of any age this Christmas.
Every single 'child' in my family will be getting one this year, and they are going to be thrilled.
I found them at JB Hi-Fi, a store I only usually visit to appease my partner or to buy something for my teenagers – usually after they have broken a computer part or accessory during one of their intense gaming sessions.
This time, the display of perfect Christmas gifts appeared before me, located in a couple of locations a key points of the store.

They are these awesome desk lamps, in a variety of designs. Kids can place them on desks, side tables, book shelves, window sills.
There is everything from generic designs to licensed lamps including Minecraft, Hot Wheels, Star Wars and Barbie. You can get them in store and online.
I know exactly which ones I am getting for each of the kids in my family, and found even more lamps in the aisles at the store, including ones for every gaming console under the sun.

I've had a rough couple of years on the Christmas front, having been a regular winner in previous years but having let my efforts slide of late.

In fact, I can think of a couple of grown ups who would love one of these too.
