Aldi Choceur chocolate is up for two gongs in the discount grocery retailer's annual The People's Pick awards for 2025.
The $4.99 bargain buy has been shortlisted for The Socialite Award for it's Salted Pretzel flavour, and Peanut Butter is up for Best Newcomer.
The Socialite category recognises a product that has been widely shared on social media and includes those grocery items that have been loved so much, they have featured frequently on shopper's social media accounts.

These includes Urban Eats Greek Spinach & Cheese Spanakopita, Ocean Royal Salt & Pepper Squid, Belmont Biscuit Co Dark Chocolate Coated Rice Cakes, Urban Eats Vietnamese Style Flavoured Pho Bowl, Kapiti Vanilla Fudge Brownie Ice Cream, Urban Eats Vegetable Gyoza, Urban Eats Roti Bread, Specifically Selected Wagu Beef Meatballs and White Mill Vanilla Flavoured Cake.
In the Best Newcomer category, Choceur Peanut Butter is vying against Choceur Choco Changer Chocolate Block, Lacura Skin Science Retinol Plus Range, Farmwood Louisiana Style Chicken Breast Burger, Yoguri Protein Yoghurt Pouch, Regal All Natural No Sugar Soft Drink, Specially Selected Woodfire Pizza, Bakers Life High Protein Buns, Sweet Haven Portuguese Tarts and Expressi Flavoured Syrup.

Aldi's Choceur range has built a cult-like following over the years and is currently available in approximately 19 different flavours.
Earlier this year Aldi confirmed one variety had been discontinued, the white chocolate Coconut Crunch, which left one fan "screaming and crying".
With chocolate prices continuing to increase due to cited cocoa shortages and related production issues, Aldi's budget range has continued to shine.
This is despite it also having increased in price. In 2019, a 200 gram block of Aldi Choceur cost just $2.69.
That's an almost 86 per cent increase, which is sadly on par with most popular rival Cadbury.
Other product categories for Aldi's The People's Pick awards include Certified Gold, The BBQ Boss, The Aussie Made Fave, The Lunchbox Legend, The Time Lord and The Partner in Grime.

The Certified Gold category includes Lazzio Luxe Coffee Beans, Emporium Selection Triple Cream Brie, and Sprinters Crinkle Cut Original Potato Chips.
The BBQ Boss includes multiple products from Aldi's Ready Set... Cook! line up including Free Range Marinaded Chicken Wings, Wagu Beef Burgers and The Fresh Salad Co Shredded Slaw.
The Aussie Made Fave category features such classics as Baker's Life Bagels, Seasons Pride Sweet Potato Chips, Goldenvale Oats Sensations and Grandessa Reserve Premium Jam.

The Lunchbox Legend category features affordable lunchbox favourites like Hillcrest Oat Bars, Belmont Biscuit Co Choc Teddy Tots, Sprinters Salted Popcorn Packs and Westcliff Tropical Drinks.
The Time Lord category includes time savers like Bon Appetit Pancakes, El Tora Soft Taco Kit and Urban Eats Soup Dumplings.
And finally, The Partner in Grime category highlights cleaning products including Trimat Laundry Powder, Power Force Pro Liquid Bleach, Confidence Paper Towel and Pro Force Pro Disinfectant Wipes.

Aldi lovers who vote in this year's award can win a $1,000 Aldi gift card, with 10 up for grabs. Conditions apply.
A total of 80 Aldi products have been shortlisted this year, with the discount grocery retailer continuing to expand it's range as it aims to increase it's share of the supermarket market which is currently dominated by Coles and Woolworths.
Aldi now stocks approximately 1,800 items, with 90 percent of their products exclusive brands such as those shortlisted.
